Track comes from singer’s fourth studio album ‘So Sad So Sexy’
Bathed in soft red and blue light, Li opened the song about trying to kill the pain of yearning for an emotional connection that’s unrequited while singing in profile. “Sex, money, feelings die,” Lykke Li sang, backed by a three-piece band and four backup singers. “Baby don’t you cry.”
So Sad So Sexy is Lykke Li’s first studio album in four years, following 2014’s I Never Learn, which includes the singles “Two Nights” (featuring Portland rapper Aminé and co-production from Skrillex), “Sex Money Feelings Die,” “Deep End,” Rostam collaboration “Hard Rain” and “Utopia.”
The Swedish singer hits the road for the fall leg of her North American tour next month, beginning on October 5th at Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C.
