Tickets sales will begin this Friday, March 7th at Live Nation and at Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars‘ official sites (though the two groups are offering pre-sale tickets now for respective fan club members). While 23 of the 25 shows will feature this triple-header line-up of massive alt-rock bands, AFI won’t be present for two dates: September 11th in Irvine, California and September 15h at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Speaking on the tour name, Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda says, “‘Carnivores’ is a metaphor that is meant to convey an appetite for something visceral and substantive. I feel that’s exactly the hunger this tour will feed.” 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto adds, ”We are so excited to join our friends on this epic journey. It’s going to be the adventure of a lifetime.”
The tour was announced by Shinoda, Leto, and Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington at a live multi-media press conference held at MILK Studios in Los Angeles. The conference was broadcast through the interactive social platform VyRT.
