Lenny Kravitz Plays ‘Roots, Rock, Reggae’ on ‘Fallon’

Plays ‘Roots, Rock, Reggae’ as Bob Marley Tribute

Lenny Kravitz closed a week of Bob Marley tributes on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with a performance of "Roots, Rock, Reggae," from Marley's Rastaman Vibration. The 1976 album was somewhat of a breakthrough in the U.S. for the reggae performer and peaked at Number Eight on Billboard's Hot 100. Kravitz pulls off looking both glamorous and mournful in a headscarf and dark glasses as he sings the tribute with superb backing by the Roots, who stay appropriately true to the Wailers' original.
