Late Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman’s personal guitar collection is hitting the auction block. ESG Guitars will oversee the auction on behalf of Hanneman’s estate, with four of the thrash metal icon’s custom-made guitars already available for bidding. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the one-of-a-kind instruments will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, a charity that Hanneman himself supported, Blabbermouth reports.

A certificate of authenticity from the Hanneman estate accompanies each guitar as well as the original guitar case that housed the instrument. As ESP notes, these cases also contain other surprise “offerings.” So far, the guitars range from a custom-made 1998 ESP that Hanneman used during the recording of Slayer’s Diabolus in Musica LP – complete with personally applied “Kill” and “God Send Death” stickers – to a 2008 Oakland Raiders-themed ESP guitar.

The other items available are Hanneman’s “Killer” guitar, used for the recording of 2006’s Christ Illusion and its subsequent tour. That instrument features Hanneman’s customary Kahler tremolo plus stickers like “the word ‘killer’ in several places as well as skull/skeleton imagery, a Metal Mulisha logo, and faux bullet holes.” Also on the block is Hanneman’s B.C. Rich custom guitar. Bidding on each guitar starts at $12,000.

Hanneman died in May 2013 at the age of 49 from alcohol-related cirrhosis. Prior to his death, the guitarist was unable to perform with Slayer for two years after contracting necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating disease, from a spider bite in January 2011. Hanneman last performed with Slayer during the encore of their Coachella performance in April 2011.

Repentless, Slayer’s first LP following the death of Hanneman – and their first album since 2009’s World Painted Blood – is out September 11th.
