Lady Gaga’s Father Releasing Italian Cookbook

Lady Gaga‘s father Joe Germanotta will be releasing a cookbook inspired by his New York City restaurant Joanne Trattoria. The pop singer will be writing the foreword for the book, titled Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes From an Italian American Restaurant.
Along with recipes for dishes served at the Upper West Side restaurant, the book will also feature family stories and anecdotes. The inclusion of anecdotes reflects the basis of the family-run restaurant, according to the release from publishing company Post Hill Press that reveals how Germanotta named his business after his sister who died of Lupus just before she turned 20-years-old. The book will be release don November 22nd.
Earlier this year, Gaga won a Golden Globe for her performance in the most recent installment of the anthology series American Horror Story. She later received an Oscar nomination for her song “Til It Happens to You,” co-penned by Diane Warren and featured in the documentary about campus rape called The Hunting Ground.
Both Gaga and producer Mark Ronson have teased her fifth album, though she has yet to debut new music or any hints on how she’ll follow up the ambitious 2013 LP Artpop. In between solo albums, she teamed up with crooner Tony Bennett for an album of duets and standards titled Cheek to Cheek, which won the pair a Grammy award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2015. She recently paid tribute to Bennett for his 90th birthday celebration alongside Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
