A former assistant for Lady Gaga is suing the pop star for $400,000, claiming that she was not paid for 7,168 hours of overtime she worked from late 2009 through March of this year.

Jennifer L. O'Neill claims that she was paid a base annual salary of $75,000, which did not cover the hours she spent at the singer's home and traveling on tour. The assistant "was always behind the scenes, and figuratively, if not literally, always at her side," states the suit, which was filed December 14th in U.S. District Court in New York.

The lawsuit is "completely without merit," a representative for Gaga told E! News.
