Sonic Youth‘s Kim Gordon will release her memoir, Girl in a Band, on February 24th, and to mark the arrival of her tome, the bassist will embark on an 11-date book tour that will find the bassist sitting down for a question-and-answer session with a different music or literary figure at each stop. Among those who will chat with Gordon are Sleater-Kinney guitarist and Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein, Superchunk drummer Jon Wurster, singer-songwriter Aimee Mann and Sub Pop co-founder Bruce Pavitt, Pitchfork reports.

Girl in a Band, which likely takes its title from the Sonic Youth Eternal cut “Sacred Trickster” (“What’s it like to be a girl in a band?/I don’t quite understand”), will chronicle Gordon’s “childhood, her life in art, her move to New York City, her love affairs, her marriage, her relationship with her daughter and her band.” The memoir will also discuss the dissolution of both her personal and professional relationship with husband and longtime bandmate Thurston Moore.

Novelist Elissa Schappell, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art curator Bennett Simpson, Austin City Limits producer Terry Lickona and film producer Margaret Bodde will also take part in Gordon’s Q&A sessions at select stops.
