UPDATE: Kesha issued a new statement regarding her ongoing legal battle with producer Dr. Luke and Sony Music, writing to fans in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon, “At this point, this issue is bigger than just about me.” Read the full statement here.
“I am beyond words in gratitude,” the singer wrote in a post accompanied by a selfie. “Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. A million times over and forever thank you. The support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much.”
Kesha added that a longer statement about her ongoing legal battle against Dr. Luke and Sony Music would be coming soon.
The “Tik Tok” singer has received an outpouring of support from peers and fans since a New York judge ruled last Friday that Kesha could not record music outside of Sony Music. The ruling came as courts in New York and California hash out suits filed by both Dr. Luke and Kesha revolving around the producer’s alleged abuse of the singer.
In October 2014, Kesha sued Dr. Luke in California in an attempt to void her contracts with him and his business subsidiaries, claiming that over 10 years the producer had “sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused [her] to the point where [she] nearly lost her life.” In New York, that same month, Dr. Luke countersued for defamation and breach of contract.

After Kesha’s injunction was denied, Dr. Luke posted a series of tweets regarding the lawsuits, saying, “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her.” He also included a link to a New York Daily News article with the headline “Kesha denied date rape by Dr. Luke in 2011 testimony, court records reveal,” as well as a TMZ article showing a deposition in which Kesha said she never had a sexual relationship with Dr. Luke, nor did he drug her.
Among those in the music community that have spoken out in support of Kesha include Lady Gaga, Lorde, Grimes, Demi Lovato, Lilly Allen and Kelly Clarkson (who has also worked extensively with Dr. Luke). Taylor Swift also donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any financial needs.
