Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” Video Yanked From Web

Kelly Clarkson’s new video for “My Life Would Suck With You” will officially debut during tonight’s episode of American Idol, but hit the Net early last night on YouTube — and was yanked from the site quickly by her record company. The song is the first single off Clarkson’s All I Ever Wanted, due out March 10th — a single that made a record jump on the Hot 100 chart this week, leaping from 97 to Number One. Whereas the videos from My December were darker, with Clarkson starring as a ghost (“Never Again”) and in a fairy tale (“Don’t Waste Your Time”), “My Life Would Suck Without You” has more of feel-good, comical vibe, despite being about a couple that probably shouldn’t be together. We’re also happy to report that despite the ridiculous, glammed-out, lollipop-toting album cover, the video borrows nothing from that ill-fated photo shoot, which Clarkson herself deemed “Photoshopped.” (For now you have to make do with the three-second “teaser” clip that ran on last night’s Idol.)

A quick synopsis of the “My Life” clip, since it’s been gone: Clarkson and her male co-star introduce you to a couple who actually enjoy throwing each other’s possessions out the window. It kind of goes with the lyrical terrain, how despite “Being with you is so dysfunctional,” Clarkson’s life “would suck without you.” Has anyone ever actually seen people’s stuff get thrown out of a window? It seems to be the number one cliché to portray a dysfunctional relationship, but somehow never happens in reality, just in films and that car insurance commercial. In short, we assume this video is pretty much a condensed version of what that He’s Just Not That Into You movie is like.

All I Ever Wanted was scheduled for a March 17th release, but according to the KellyOfficial Website, the album has been pushed up to March 10th. As we reported earlier this week, rumors say Clarkson’s next single is the Katy Perry/Kara DioGuardi-penned “(I Do Not) Hook Up.”
