Katy Perry and Russell Brand have reached a settlement in their divorce, which the superstar couple filed on December 30th. In court documents filed on Tuesday, Perry and Brand agreed that they “have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.” Perry has also indicated a desire to revert to her maiden name, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.
Brand will not receive spousal support from Perry, which is notable as she is worth an estimated $70 million, while he is valued at around $20 million. Brand would have been entitled to half of her fortune under California’s community laws. The amicable nature of the divorce settlement was driven home by Perry’s signature on the court documents, which included a heart and a smiley face.
