Kanye’s Weekend: Classic ‘SNL’ Appearance, New Song

West transforms the ‘Saturday Night Live’ stage for ‘Power’ and ‘Runaway,’ just after releasing the new ‘Christian Dior Denim Flow’

Kanye West gave the most memorable Saturday Night Live performance in recent memory this weekend:

Against an all-white backdrop and wearing his now-trademark red suit gold chains, he replicated the “moving picture” video for “Power” with dozens of choreographed models. West swapped out the verse that begins with “Fuck SNL and the whole cast,” replacing it with brand new lyrics, and for an encore, he and guest Pusha-T offered a rendition of “Runaway” that recalled their MTV Video Music Awards performance. Kanye West’s Surprise Visit to Rolling Stone

Even though West said there would be no G.O.O.D. Friday download last week after two songs off his upcoming album were leaked, he changed his mind and unveiled a new song early Saturday morning. The track, “Christian Dior Denim Flow,” is an over seven-minute-long all-star affair featuring Kid Cudi, John Legend, Pusha-T, Lloyd Banks and Ryan Leslie.
