Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat earlier this month unveiling footage suggesting that Taylor Swift was aware about many of the controversial lyrics in Kanye West‘s song “Famous” before it came out. At a surprise appearance onstage with Drake on Wednesday night in Chicago, Kanye briefly referenced the recent incident, offering his wife his full support.
“All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat,” the rapper told an adoring hometown crowd. As “Famous” started to blare through the speakers, he added, “now y’all can know the truth. And can’t nobody talk shit about ‘Ye no more.” The crowd shouted along to the opening lines of “Famous;” after the track faded out, Drake summed up the moment appreciatively as “legendary shit.”

Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen Tour touched down in Chicago this week for a pair of performances. Kanye hit the stage for a rendition of “Pop Style,” from Drake’s Views album. He followed that with “Famous” and “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” both of which came out on The Life of Pablo in February.
Kanye and Drake have collaborated several times recently. In addition to their work on “Pop Style” — which reached No. 16 on the Hot 100 — Kanye praised Drake for assisting with Pablo not long after the album’s release. “I wanna thank my brother Drizzy for helping me on 30 Hours & Father Stretch My Hands,” Kanye tweeted in February. “Drake would come by and just help, no strings.” Drake later reciprocated the love during an interview with Zane Lowe by noting, “‘Ye is one of my favorite people, period.”
