Justin Timberlake, Sandra Bullock Win Big at People’s Choice Awards
Justin Timberlake swept the music side at last night’s 40th People’s Choice Awards, taking home three prizes in the fan-voted honors. The singer’s 20/20 Experience garnered the night’s top music prize for Favorite Album, and Timberlake also won Favorite Male Artist and Favorite R&B Artist.
“I’d like to thank my parents for continuing to instill in me that no dream is too big. I’d like to thank my team that puts up with my ridiculous neuroses all the time – sorry, but not really, because look at this,” Timberlake said as he accepted the favorite album award, according to Reuters.

Katy Perry and Demi Lovato followed close behind with two awards each. Perry’s Prisms single “Roar” won Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video, while Lovato racked up Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Fan Following. Newcomer Ariana Grande beat out Lorde, Austin Mahone, Icona Pop and Imagine Dragons to take the Favorite Breakout Artist award.
Britney Spears beat out Timberlake for the Favorite Pop Artist honor, while Taylor Swift took the Favorite Country Artist prize. Favorite Country Music Icon, on the other hand, went to Tim McGraw. The People’s Favorite Band this year was One Direction, while the Favorite Alternative Band was Fall Out Boy. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won Favorite Hip-Hop Artist.
On the acting side of the evening, Sandra Bullock dominated, taking Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Comedy Movie Actress (for The Heat), Dramatic Movie Actress and Favorite Movie Duo (for Gravity). Gravity also won Favorite Drama Movie. But it was Iron Man 3 that won for Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, with Robert Downey Jr. winning for Favorite Action Movie Hero.

“An actor can’t do what they do without hundreds of amazing people working for them and alongside them,” Bullock said. “I learned so much this year. I got to work with Melissa McCarthy on The Heat and on Gravity, the nicest people in the world would string me up and leave me there, and I still had an amazing time.”
Over in TV land, Glee‘s Chris Colfer won Favorite Comedic TV Actor for the second year in a row for his role as Kurt Hummel. The Voice won Favorite Competition TV Show and The Walking Dead won Favorite Cable TV Drama, with Rick Grimes also nabbing the prize for Favorite TV Anti-Hero.
