Justin Timberlake, 24, won a libel suit he brought against the British tabloid News of the World, which printed a story claiming that he had an affair with model Lucy Clarkson. The paper was ordered to pay Timberlake "substantial" damages, which the singer plans to donate to the Roots and Shoots children's foundation. Timberlake has also wrapped roles in two movies: Edison, with Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey, and Alpha Dog, with Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone. He's currently dividing his time between the Memphis and Los Angeles sets of Black Snake Moan, co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, and has signed on as the voice of King Arthur in 2007's Shrek 3. But Timberlake hasn't given up music altogether: He produced a song on Gap Band singer Charlie Wilson's new Charlie, Last Name Wilson.

This story is from the September 22nd, 2005 issue of Rolling Stone.
