Not swaggy at all: The Grammys “blew it” by not nominating Justin Bieber for a single award, manager Scooter Braun said as part of a series of tweets last night after the Grammy Nominations Live concert in Nashville.

“I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one,” Braun tweeted, after first praising another client, Carly Rae Jepsen, on her nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Call Me Maybe.”

The Five Biggest Surprises in the 2013 Grammy Nominations

Bieber last month won three times, including Artist of the Year, at the American Music Awards. His latest album, Believe, came out in July, well before the September 30th deadline for Grammy consideration. The album debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has already been certified platinum in the U.S. with sales of more than one million copies, achievements that Braun said deserve credit.

“The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge succesful album, sold out tour, and won people over,” he wrote. “This time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with.”

Even so, Braun ended on an upbeat note, congratulating the artists who did get nominated before addressing the Beliebers: “Looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer. #BRINGIT.”
