Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games struck gold at last night’s Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Demi Lovato and Glee‘s Kevin McHale.

Swift took home five surfboards, including Choice Female Artist and Choice Female Country Artist, Choice Country Song (“Sparks Fly”), Choice Single By a Female Artist for “Eyes Open” (her contribution to the Hunger Games soundtrack) and Choice Movie Voice, for her role as Audrey in Dr. Suess’ The Lorax.

“This is a really, really huge award, and I’m so excited and I just feel so honored that I get to have you guys in my life,” said Swift, whose career total Teen Choice awards now numbers 20. “I’m so happy right now, thank you so much. And thank you to Teen Choice for giving teens a chance to vote for something, because I love getting these!”

In addition to his four awards for Choice Male Artist, Choice Single By a Male Artist (“Boyfriend”), Choice Male Music Star of the Summer and Choice Male Fashion Icon, Bieber took the stage for a medley of new cuts, “Boyfriend” and “As Long As You Love Me,” bringing out Big Sean for the latter.

“For me?” he asked after being named Choice Male Artist, adding he hoped his new album Believe was “everything that you guys waited for. I hope you guys are playing it over and over again, and this is just a reminder to everybody in here: Believe. Thank you.”

Bieber’s fellow performers last night included Carly Rae Jepsen (who scored Choice Breakout Artist), Flo Rida and No Doubt, who played their new single “Settle Down” for the first time on TV.

The Hunger Games nabbed two awards for Choice Book and Choice Movie Sci-Fi/Fantasy, while the film’s stars Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence were named Choice Movie Actor and Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, respectively. They also shared Choice Lip Lock honors.

Twilight took home two awards, including the night’s biggest, the Ultimate Choice Award, which was accepted by stars Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The film franchise has now taken home more than 40 Teen Choice Awards.

Other winners last night included Emma Stone for both Choice Actress Comedy (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and Choice Actress Drama (The Help); TV hit The Vampire Diaries, which nabbed Choice TV Show Sci-Fi/Fantasy while star Ian Somerholder won Choice TV Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice Hottie: Male; and British boy band One Direction, who scored Choice Summer Music Star: Group, Choice Music Breakout Group and Choice Love Song for “What Makes You Beautiful.” The group was not on hand to accept their surfboards, sending an acceptance video instead.
