Justin Bieber Stumbles During Sobriety Test in Police Video

Footage released by Miami prosecutors also shows singer doing push-ups in jail cell

Justin Bieber can be seen stumbling during a sobriety test following his January arrest for drinking and driving in a new video released by Miami-Dade County prosecutors, Us Weekly reports.

Prosecutors released approximately 10 hours of footage, and in one of the more prominent clips (obtained originally by the Miami Herald), the pop star can be seen trying to walk a straight line and stumbling at one point as he turns around. Other footage shows Bieber speaking with police officers, while one clip shows the 19-year-old crushing 23 push-ups in his jail cell.

The videos were released after the Associated Press and other press outlets filed a request under Florida’s public records laws allowing most evidence in a criminal case to be turned over to the media after the defense team has been given it. Bieber’s attorneys were able to block the release of four clips showing the pop star urinating into a cup as part of a drug test. Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield will, however, view and take this footage into account while rendering his verdict.

Bieber will appear in court on March 3rd on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest – Bieber allegedly swore at police officers after he failed a Breathalyzer test – and driving with an expired license; his attorneys have already filed a written plea of not guilty on all three misdemeanor charges.

Bieber may also be facing felony vandalism charges over accusations that he egged his neighbor’s house, though it’s unclear whether the district attorney’s office will move ahead with the case. The egg-throwing incident also led to a raid and search of Bieber’s home that resulted in felony possession of Ecstasy charges against Bieber’s friend Lil Za.

Amidst all of his legal woes, Bieber just released a defiant new song, “Broken,” his first bit of new music since his DUI arrest that finds him singing the refrain, “I cannot be broken/like I know you were hopin’.”

You can take a more in-depth look at the remarkable fall of one of the most prominent pop stars in our new cover story. The story chronicles everything from Bieber showing signs of stress as early as 2010 to his thousand-dollar dalliances at strip clubs with his father and a recent “non-intervention” that found Bieber’s mom, manager Scooter Braun and early supporter Usher flying to Panama to try and help the pop star get back on track.
