Justin Bieber’s “rough week” in London has spilled over to Portugal, where the singer has canceled one of two concerts he was scheduled to perform in Lisbon. The singer will perform on Monday night as planned, but has pulled out of Tuesday’s gig due to “unforeseen circumstances,” Reuters reports.
It’s the latest in a string of unhappy events for Bieber. After marking what he called his “worst birthday,” the pop star angered fans and their parents last week by showing up two hours late for show at London’s O2 Arena. A few days later, he passed out backstage during a performance there and was apparently hospitalized afterward. The next day, he threatened a paparazzi in a profanity-laced shouting match outside his hotel.
The Canadian singer doubled as host and musical guest last month on Saturday Night Live, and prompted a flurry of angry tweets from fans aimed at Patrick Carney of the Black Keys when the drummer spoke dismissively about Bieber after the Grammys in February. Bieber’s most recent album, Believe, came out last year.
