Ryan Seacrest will join Lopez as a producer on the show, which will be his first scripted scripted drama series project. The show’s writer is Adi Kasak, who wrote the screenplay for the recent Kevin Costner thriller 3 Days to Kill as well as 2010’s John Travolta vehicle From Paris With Love.
Lopez has been most visible lately as a judge on American Idol, as well as in her guest star turn on How I Met Your Mother. But the singer has some notable dramatic work on her CV, including her breakout role in Steven Soderbergh’s 1998 film Out of Sight.
