Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports Signs Kevin Durant

Oklahoma City Thunder all-star Kevin Durant has signed to Roc Nation Sports, the new agency Jay-Z recently launched with Creative Artist Agency’s sports division.
“He has a 90.5 free throw shooting rate, the youngest player in NBA history to join the 50-40-90 club, a giving individual and a legend in the making,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “What more can I say?”

A basketball standout since his high school days, Durant was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in 2007 after one year of college ball at the University of Texas. The Sonics relocated to Oklahoma a year later, renaming themselves the Thunder, and Durant has continued to thrive: He’s a three-time All-Star, took home three consecutive scoring championships and one a gold medal with the USA basketball team at the 2012 Olympics.
Durant is the latest addition to the growing roster at Roc Nation Sports: The agency also represents New York Yankees all-star second baseman Robinson Cano, New York Jets quarterback Eugene “Geno” Smith III and Skylar Diggins, Notre Dame’s breakout basketball star who was just drafted by the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock.
