Jay-Z Throws Thanksgiving Party

Rapper hosts benefit concert at Apollo

Jay-Z will host the Thanksgiving Give Back Concert on November 23rd at New York City's Apollo Theater. The rapper will do two performances — at 7 and 11 p.m. — with the his Roc-A-Fella Family, which includes Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek.

Proceeds from the event will go to Jay-Z's Team Roc charity, which helps secure higher education for underprivileged children. Tickets are currently on sale through the Apollo box office and TicketMaster.

In other Roc-A-Fella news, Sigel is planning to release an EP for State Property, an upcoming "urban crime drama" film in which he stars. The rapper has put together a group — also called State Property — which will debut on the six-track album. The film and soundtrack are due early next year.
