Jay-Z Shows ‘Where I’m From’ in New Documentary
As if eight inaugural dates at Brooklyn’s brand-new Barclays Center weren’t enough, today Jay-Z dropped Where I’m From, a new documentary on YouTube that chronicles the massive undertaking that made those shows possible. Packed with behind-the-scenes footage, the 24-minute film documents everything from the rehearsals to building the stunning stage (which elicited a shocked and proud “Where do you go from there?” from Hov) plus footage from a few of those shows.
The film also includes an amazing clip of Jay-Z en route to his last concert at Barclays. He hops on a New York subway train, takes a seat and chats with a woman who, for a moment, has no idea who he is.
