Jay-Z Performs at Adult Swim Event
Jay-Z performed at an event for the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming bloc last night at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan, but did not announce a development deal with the network as many had expected. The rapper is said to be developing an original animated series for the network. [Billboard]

eMusic Adds EMI Catalog
The eMusic subscription download store has added the EMI catalog to its library of content. With this new deal, eMusic now offers music from all four major label groups along with a majority of high-profile indie labels. One catch to this deal is that eMusic will initially offer EMI titles released within the past year. The store will eventually offer releases by major acts from the EMI roster such as David Bowie and Pink Floyd, but currently has no agreement in place with the Beatles. [Billboard]

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Return With New Album
Brooklyn rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have announced that their third album, HYSTERICAL, will be released on September 20th. The disc, their first in four years, will be heralded by a brief tour that will include an appearances at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco and the Sunset Junction Festival in Los Angeles in August and a run of European dates in September. Frank Ocean Album Gets Commercial Release
Odd Future singer Frank Ocean’s debut solo album Nostalgia, Ultra, which was released by the singer as a free download earlier this year, will be commercially released by Def Jam on July 26th. Ocean leaked the album himself when it had seemed as though the label had shelved it indefinitely. [Rap-Up]

EMA Embarks on North American Tour
Recent Rolling Stone Artist to Watch EMA is about to set out on a tour in support of her acclaimed debut album Past Life Martyred Saints. The singer will kick off her tour with a show at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, California and wrap up on July 23rd at the Garrison in Toronto. [Pitchfork]
