Jay Z Joins Young Jeezy to Proclaim ‘Seen It All’

Jay Z and Young Jeezy expound on all that’s happened in their lives, from cruising the block to trotting the globe, on “Seen It All,” the latest song from the Atlanta rapper’s upcoming album of the same name. Both MCs recall their seedier days slinging dope to make ends meet, and Jay paints a potent picture of a shipment showing up at his stash house at 560 State Street in Brooklyn, before boasting his present basketball-related dealings: “Now the Nets a stone throw from where I used to throw bricks / So it’s only right I’m still tossing ’round Knicks.” Produced by Cardo, the track, which you can hear below, blends thundering trap percussion with an eerie, hypnotic melody that sounds like it’s either coming from a pan pipe or pitch-shifted vocals.

Seen It All will be released on September 2nd and follows up Jeezy’s 2011 effort, TM: 103 Hustlerz Ambition. The title track, however, was actually recorded during the sessions for Jay Z’s last album, Magna Carta… Holy Grail.

Jeezy will be on the road for the rest of the summer, as will Jay Z, who just kicked off his co-headlining tour On the Run tour with wife Beyoncé. Jay has kept his plate full since Magna Carta… Holy Grail‘s release last summer: Along with tearing it up with Beyoncé more or less everywhere — including a steamy performance of “Drunk in Love” to open the Grammys — Hov recently teamed with Jay Electronica for the “We Made It” remix and contributed a verse to “Jungle,” the World Cup anthem for Beats by Dre courtesy of Jamie N Commons and Brooklyn group X Ambassadors.
