Jack White Lurks Around Bar in ‘Would You Fight for My Love?’ Video

Jack White plays a lonely-looking and sharply dressed bar hound in the stylish new video for Lazaretto track “Would You Fight For My Love?” The clip, directed by Robert Hales and written by Hales and White, features a moody blue color scheme, luring viewers into its scene of brokenhearted blues.

The video opens with a woman selecting a track on a bar jukebox, with White fidgeting with a drink and performing his lovelorn lyrics (“It’s not enough that I love you / There’s all these things I have to prove to you”) while gazing directly into the camera. White and the mysterious female never seem to make a true connection, occasionally vanishing into thin air, and the clip ends with White raging on an old-school microphone.

The video was “conceptualized, produced and shot within a 24-hour period,” according to a statement released by White, and filmed during a six-hour shoot at the Cruise Room at the Oxford Hotel in Denver. Several members of White’s Third Man Records crew appear in the video, along with musician-photographer Scout Pare-Phillips.

White’s solo world tour will continue this fall, including a number of recently added U.S. shows. He’ll play at the Farm Aid Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday, September 13th; his final 2014 date is scheduled for November 19th at London’s O2 Arena.
