Backstage at Bonnaroo, Iron and Wine singer and songwriter Sam Beam told Rolling Stone about his philosophy of adapting his music to suit different environments. "When you do a record, you kinda get a sense of what the next tour will be like," says Beam. "There's things on the record that you try that you may want to flesh out on stage too. The horns made sense this time, and the backing singers was a new thing, which was fun."
