Icona Pop Get Hyped for Miami Music Week With Exclusive Playlist

Ever since Lena Dunham’s FTW coke reverie on season two of Girls made Icona Pop’s historically bratty 2012 track “I Love It” a 2013 chart rager, the Swedish duo of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo have been angling for a follow-up anthemic hit. And after four subsequent singles, they finally might have it with the strummy EDM pummel of Tiësto’s “Let’s Go” (only available thus far in snippet form via a 7Up commercial that makes life seem like it’s building to one ecstatic, kaleidoscopic Spring Break, where we all hop in unison in a steamy locale).
And to stoke the synergistic mania further, Icona Pop (as well as Tiësto) will be taking their talents to South Beach, plus downtown Miami proper, for this year’s Miami Music Week, featuring the Ultra Music Festival and Winter Music Conference. Hjelt and Jawo will be thrusting fists defiantly as guest DJs at the Big Beat & Friends Miami Rooftop Pool Party, along with New Jersey emo-EDM bros Cash Cash, dubstep bigfooter Flux Pavilion, “Selfie” perpetrators the Chainsmokers, Dutch house vets Chocolate Puma, and more.
So, to get an early tingle going, here’s an RS Dance exclusive, Miami-tailored Icona Pop DJ playlist, to give you an idea of what to expect (or what you’ll be missing) up on the roof.
