I and Love and You

“I and Love and You" is the title cut from the Avett Brothers' first album for Rick Rubin's American Recording label. The record, which was produced by Rubin, is credited with helping the rootsy folk-rock band gain a national following. Band co-founder and banjo player Scott Avett insists that the use of the hip-hop producer on the track was an easy transition. "Folk music is just like early hip-hop," Avett told Rolling Stone. "You're singing about where you're from, the hardships and the good times."
