Hollywood Vampires Announce Summer Tour
Rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires are heading out on tour this summer. The group announced a string of May and June dates via guitarist Joe Perry’s official site.
Following their Grammy tribute to Lemmy Kilmister, the Vampires previously announced shows at Lisbon, Portugal’s edition of Rock in Rio festival, Cadott, Wisconsin’s RockFest and Verona, New York’s Turning Stone Resort Casino.
“We have to carefully schedule the Vampires,” Alice Cooper told Rolling Stone. The band also features Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and Duff McKagan. “That’s because you have Johnny’s movie schedule; you’ve got Aerosmith, you’ve got Guns N’ Roses and you’ve got me! It’s five entities going in five different directions. To get those guys all at one time when we’re not working is really unique. So everybody looks at their calendar, and you have to find that two weeks where everybody’s off.”
The group released their debut album last September, which featured covers of artists like Led Zeppelin, the Who, T. Rex, Plastic Ono Band and more. Paul McCartney, Brian Johnson, Dave Grohl and Slash were among the guest musicians to contribute to the star-studded LP.
