Hodor Is Embarking on a ‘Game of Thrones’-Themed DJ Tour

With Game of Thrones‘ fourth season officially wrapped, one fan favorite character has found a pretty good way to bide his time until winter comes back around: Hodor — AKA actor Kristian Nairn — will embark on a DJ tour of Australia starting at the end of August. Aptly dubbed “Rave of Thrones,” Australian promoter Falcona promised that the six-date trek would feature Hodor of House Stark “showcasing some of the deepest house from all seven kingdoms.”

Along with everyone’s favorite Bran-carrying hero dominating the wheels of steel — and hopefully accenting every drop with a sound-bite of his famous, eponymous line — each venue will be given a Game of Thrones-inspired makeover, while patrons will also be required to show up dressed in their Westeros best. Falcona also promised that each “Rave of Thrones” show would feature a visual GoT-themed set from Australian artist EGO alongside other special guests. No word yet on if the actor/DJ will bring his skills to America.
Nairn’s tour isn’t some sort of one-off gimmick, either. According to The Guardian, the DJ/actor has long been a mainstay of Belfast’s house music scene, working as a resident DJ at the Kremlin club in Northern Ireland’s capital for the past 11 years. Check out a number of Nairn’s DJ mixes, remixes and original music over on his SoundCloud page.
“[Acting and DJing] is a similar process for me, but with slightly different components,” Nairn told Red Dot Diva in 2012. “When DJing, I am definitely trying to keep my mind very much switched on, and for Hodor, it’s really the opposite. But [I still want] to be present in the scene, and to react well to what is happening, because I believe Hodor is a great reactor. I don’t think too much is planned in his head!”
