Heartless Bastards On changing their songs in concert

Rockers wrote their new album ‘The Mountain’ to be played live

After playing a set at Rolling Stone‘s Rock Room day party at SXSW, Heartless Bastards frontwoman Erika Wennerstrom explained that her band’s latest album, Arrow, was written with the intention of letting the songs mutate in concert. “There’s something about how you can play the same song every night, and each night the song has a different feel,” she says. “I feel like being a comedian would be so hard because you can’t say the same joke for decades.”
