Hear Zayn Malik’s Smooth R&B Song ‘Befour’
Zayn Malik has released “Befour,” another dancey song off his debut solo album. Mind of Mine will be available in full on March 25th.
Malik had previously teased “Befour” in a video accompanying his Fader cover story last year, which was his first interview as a solo recording artist. The song itself is a smoothly thumping R&B track where the 23-year-old sings, “I’ve done this before/But not like this/Not like this.” Before the song wraps, Malik lets out a high-reaching falsetto run, harking back to his memorable contributions to One Direction songs like “You & I.”
Malik has also announced his return to The Tonight Show on the day of his album’s release. He had previously debuted the dreamy ballad “It’s You” on the late-night program in February. That same day, the singer will perform at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City and discuss Mind of Mine during a Q&A with radio host Elvis Duran. The release party and show will stream across iHeartMedia CHR and CHR-Rhythmic radio stations and websites.
