Hear Tinashe Aim for Love on Catchy ‘Bullet’

Tinashe’s catchy, trap-pop “Bullet” has made its way out. The straight-shooting track follows a string of previews of her upcoming sophomore album Joyride, though it is unclear if this song will appear on the LP.
The snare drum and hi-hat roll-heavy track is a poppier release than the darker, hip-hop-leaning songs from her soon-to-be-released album. “This bullet got your name on it,” she repeats in the song’s chorus.
Tinashe is currently in the middle of her Joyride world tour. She has dates scheduled around North America until April, when she heads to Europe and the U.K. before wrapping the trek in Japan. Ryan Hemsworth and Snakehips will serve as the singer and dancer’s opening acts. She collaborated with the latter on the song “All My Friends,” which features Chance the Rapper, as well. The group of artists performed the single together on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Following Aquarius, Tinashe opened for Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry on portions of their world tours. Janet Jackson also handpicked her to pay tribute to the iconic performer at the BET Awards last year.
No release date has been set for Joyride yet. Tinashe announced her follow-up to 2014’s Aquarius — which featured singles “2 On” and “All Hands on Deck” — back in September. So far, she has released the tracks “Player” featuring Chris Brown, “Energy” featuring Juicy J, “Party Favors” featuring Young Thug and, most recently, the Metro Boomin-produced “Ride of Your Life.” She also worked with producers and songwriters Dev Hynes, Dr. Luke and Boi-1da on more tracks off the album.
