Hear the Weeknd’s Bold Remix of Bryson Tiller’s ‘Rambo’

The Weeknd remixed “Rambo” by R&B’s latest rising star, Bryson Tiller. The “Earned It” singer dropped his version on SoundCloud Wednesday night.
For the remix, the Weeknd remains faithful to the piano-driven trap beat, adding a lengthy new verse in between Tiller’s original hook. The Grammy-winning singer is bold and dark on his verse, referencing his performance at the Victoria’s Secret runway show and chart-topping success. “Had to kill the pop game so they know what’s up/Now I’m poppin’ back swift, had to shake it off,” he sings. Later, he makes references to Gene Simmons — “Gene Simmons tongue but I ain’t down for the kissing” — and Heath Ledger — “I’m a motherfuckin’ villain in my town/Heath ledger, ’bout to O.D.”
Tiller recently wrapped up a tour in support of his debut album, Trapsoul. The Weeknd went on a lengthy tour of his own in support of his successful pop breakthrough Beauty Behind the Madness, which featured the hit singles “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” He won two Grammys at the 2016 ceremony and was nominated for an Academy Award for his song “Earned It” off the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.
