Hear Slipknot, Touche Amore Members Rage on Hesitation Wounds’ ‘Teeth’

In 2013 Touché Amoré singer Jeremy Bolm, the Hope Conspiracy guitarist Neeraj Kane and ex-Trap Them bassist Stephen “Scuba” LaCour teamed up with drummer Jay Weinberg – then best known as the son of E Street Band’s Max Weinberg and as a former member of Against Me! – to form Hesitation Wounds and release a debut 7″ on Bolm’s own Secret Voice Records. In the years since, the foursome has periodically regrouped but mostly the bandmates have been busy with other projects, most notably Weinberg, who joined Slipknot in 2014.
Even so, he’s managed to find time to record with Hesitation Wounds again, and the result is as raw and ferocious as you’d expect looking at the players’ resumes. Below, you can hear a song, “Teeth,” from Hesitation Wounds’s latest offering, Awake For Everything, which is due out May 27th via 6131 Records.
“I believe ‘Teeth’ reflects the musical background of each member into one short tune,” Bolm comments. “The album, Awake for Everything, was a combined effort that started the summer of 2015 during our collective downtime. It was recorded in segments over time by our pal Alex Estrada and mixed by Kurt Ballou. The album is half social commentary and half a personal outlet.”
