Hear Skrillex and Diplo’s Jack U Single “Take U There” Given Bassy, Chilled-Out Remix

Skrillex and Diplo are two of the most famous and influential artists in EDM today so when the two musicians started performing together in 2013 as Jack Ü, dance-music fans were understandably intrigued. The supergroup has rocked such events as the Mad Decent Block Party in San Diego and Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, but its biggest gig by a long shot will go off later this month: On New Year’s Eve, Skrillex and Diplo will co-headline New York’s Madison Square Garden, performing both separately and together in Jack Ü, with support from A$AP Ferg, Rudimental and Yellow Claw.
While Jack Ü have made plenty of live appearances, the duo has yet to release a long-rumored mixtape and has only one official single to its name, “Take Ü There,” featuring vocals from rising pop singer Kiesza. Released in September, it got a trippy, animated music video in November, and the track will get seven more companion pieces on December 23, when Jack Ü issue a collection of “Take Ü There” remixes including seven diverse reworkings of the song by Zeds Dead, TJR, Vindata, Netsky, Felix Cartal, Tujamo and Tchami.
Hear Zeds Dead’s shimmery, rumbling remix below. The original version of “Take Ü There” is available now on iTunes, while tickets for the New Year’s Eve show can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
