Hear Rick Ross’ Boastful Remix of Solange’s ‘Cranes in the Sky’

Rick Ross put his own spin on Solange Knowles‘ A Seat at the Table single “Cranes in the Sky.” The R&B singer performed the track along with “Don’t Touch My Hair” on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
Ross opens his remix of the song with a boastful, uplifting verse, where he lists his successes, belongings and women. “Crib so big/ Cranes in the sky,” he raps. The song itself is about fighting pain with unhealthy vices like alcohol and sex; a message that has resonated with many artists. In addition to Ross, Common also dropped a reflective remix a few weeks back and Kaytranada released a DJ edit of the track that he plans to use during live shows.
Knowles released her first album in eight years last September. The LP features guest spots from Kelly Rowland, Dev Hynes, Q-Tip, Lil Wayne and Sampha.
