Push T has teamed with Ty Dolla $ign and Desiigner for his second new song this week, a hypnotic new ode to twerking, “Circles.”
The track boasts a mix of rumbling trap percussion and atmospheric synth lines that buoy Ty Dolla $ign’s airy hook (which borrows from Lil Ronny MothaF’s track of the same name).
Elsewhere, Desiigner laces the song with idiosyncratic ad-libs and a few bars, but “Circles” is primarily a Pusha T affair as he nods to Prince’s Purple Rain, touts his outrageous new nickname, “Blowbama P” and drops cheeky couplets like, “If we on the same accord/ I’ll take you out that Honda Civic.”
“Circles” arrives on the heels of “H.G.T.V.,” which Pusha T released on Wednesday. While neither track is tied to a specific album yet, Pusha T has reportedly been working on a new LP titled, King Push. That record would follow its 2015 predecessor, King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude.
