Hear Nicki Minaj’s Vicious, M.I.A.-Quoting ‘Pinkprint Freestyle’

Nearly two years after Nicki Minaj released The Pinkprint, the rapper revisited her 2014 LP with her vicious, six-minute “The Pinkprint Freestyle.” “Bars for days, niggas think I did a bid / Draggin’ these hos like Harambe did the kid,” Minaj says on the track.
Minaj, or “the female Jay” as she calls herself on the cut, opens the track by thanking Lil Wayne for signing her to Young Money before then unleashing havoc on her haters. “Anytime they count me out, I be like Usain / Bitch I come back like Jordan in his ‘Flu Game’ / Every time I shoot it, it be all net / I give him ostrich, that means all neck” Minaj raps over a simple beat. “They wanna know my recipe / They know I ball like those niggas at the ESPYs.”
Over the course of the freestyle, as Minaj has done on her LPs, she adeptly switches accents and personas. “Don’t talk about Nicki in the past tense / Unless I flop past the ass in a fast Bent / Fuck outta here you dumb bitch / You know I’m pretty and I’m witty and I’m dumb rich,” Minaj continues. “You throw shade, but I sun bitch.”
“Lol make sure u listen all the way to the end,” Minaj cautioned of the freestyle on Twitter. Following the initial wave of verses, after a short breather at the four-minute mark, Minaj goes even harder, quoting the first verse of M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” and warning, “I make bitches go M.I.A.”
“The Pinkprint Freestyle” comes days after the rapper teamed with Ariana Grande for their video for “Side by Side,” which the duo performed at the VMAs.
