R&B/Electropop group Lolawolf, comprising Zoë Kravitz and Jimmy Giannopoulos, have released their first song since 2015. “Teardrop,” which Zane Lowe played during his Beats 1 show on Tuesday, features Miley Cyrus.

On the slowly unfurling song, multitracked vocals harmonize before the rhythms build and Cyrus’ eerie, distorted spoken-word part kicks in. “Forever is like Jesus/ It’s just something that we’ve made ourselves believe in/ So, makes maybe the death a little less scary/ It makes us feel safe,” she says.

It’s not the first time Cyrus and Lolawolf have teamed up. Lolawolf opened for Cyrus during the Australian leg of her 2014 tour and she also appeared in Lolawolf’s “Bitch” video.

Kravitz and Giannopoulos discussed their forthcoming plans with Lowe, including upcoming festival dates and their as-yet untitled album. “We’re trying to be as melodic as we can be and then keep it hard – as far as what we think is hard – you know, to make this feel good,” Giannopolous said about the record.

The pair said they started the recording process for their forthcoming album in the Bahamas and told Lowe they hope to have it ready by the end of summer.

Lolawolf, who recently performed during Bonnaroo, head to Lollapalooza on July 30th. They also have two upcoming dates in New York, including Full Moon Festival on August 20th and Meadows Music Festival on October 1st.
