Hear Lil Wayne’s First Post-Prison Track

Weezy appears on two guest verses on new Birdman song ‘Fire Flame’

It’s probably not the brand-new song his manager told Rolling Stone about last week, but Lil Wayne’s first post-prison music has hit the web in the form of two guest verses on Birdman’s “Fire Flame”: “Fresh out from my bid, bitch, it’s Lil Tunechi. I Lucille Ball, bitch I love Lucy/ If these n—as [are] dogs, I’m animal cruelty/ Don’t fuck with me at all, ’cause I’m twisted like a Rubik’s cube/ Oh my, look how the time has flown/ And they say time is of the essence, but what if their clock is wrong?”

The track was posted on DJ Khaled’s We the Best TV blog on Monday. The song, which had leaked online earlier without Wayne’s verses, is expected to appear on the next Birdman/Wayne joint LP.

Wayne spent the first few days after his release from prison on November 4 celebrating, visiting family and joining Drake onstage in Las Vegas. But by last Tuesday he was back in the studio logging a 15-hour-long session. On Thursday, Wayne manager Cortez Bryant told Rolling Stone that Wayne had already finished a song. “We’re trying to put it out, like, tomorrow,” he said. “We got a crazy song. If not tomorrow, definitely next week.”
