Hear Justice’s Electrifying New Single ‘Randy’

French dance duo releasing new LP ‘Woman’ this November

Justice have unveiled their new single “Randy,” the first official single off the French dance duo’s upcoming LP Woman.

“‘Randy’ started as an almost industrial techno track, but we were in such a good mood that day that we ended up making the song as it is that is real like joyful,” Justice’s Xavier de Rosnay told BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, who debuted the track.”Like if you’re in the car with your best friends or your lover or your kids. And that’s the feeling of the whole record I guess.”

The six-minute single kicks off with a killer industrial beat before going off on a melodic tangent reminiscent of Daft Punk and Tame Impala and eventually swirling into a disco rave-up. “Randy” features vocals from singer Morgan Phalen, who previously appeared on a pair of tracks off Justice’s Audio, Video, Disco.

According to Mac, Woman, the duo’s first LP since 2011’s Audio, Video, Disco, is due out mid-November. “Randy” follows Justice’s funky comeback track “Safe and Sound.”

“We have mistaken for a dance music band,” said de Rosnay. “Every time we start with a couple of ideas and as we make the record, they change a lot and they drift a bit, but the general mood we were in was to make a welcoming record.”
