Fetty Wap has added a new spin on Selena Gomez‘s “Same Old Love.” The track is not featured on a recent remix EP of dance versions of the Charli XCX-penned single, but the rapper delivers his fiery take on the torch song below.
Fetty stays faithful to the track, crooning new verses at the beginning and end. “Baby, and I don’t mean to make you cry/Baby, thought you were my ride or die,” he sing-raps during his latter appearance.
Both Fetty Wap and Gomez had massive years in 2015, with the rapper making his big debut and the singer reinventing her sound. Fetty Wap dominated the charts with songs like “My Way,” “679” and the inescapable sleeper hit “Trap Queen,” which was released in 2014 and didn’t top charts until a year later. Gomez had hits with “Same Old Love,” the A$AP Rocky-assisted trap ballad “Good for You” and her new single “Hands to Myself.” Both Wap and Gomez appeared at New York City’s Jingle Ball concert event at Madison Square Garden.
