Hear DJ Earworm’s ‘United State of Pop 2015’ Mash-Up

Fifty of the year’s biggest singles are sampled, from “Hello” and “Hotline Bling” to “Bitch Better Have My Money” and “Bad Blood”

With less than a month remaining in 2015, DJ Earworm has unleashed his annual “United State of Pop,” a five-minute mega mash-up that incorporates 50 of the year’s biggest hits into one seamless ode to what has dominated radio for the past 12 months. This year’s mix, produced for Billboard, includes everything from Adele’s “Hello” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling” to Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” “United State of Pop” is also accompanied by a keenly edited montage spotlighting the memorable moments from each single’s corresponding music video, like Drake’s gif-worthy dancing and Adele’s battle with the wind.

Subtitled “50 Shades of Pop,” this year’s mix leans heavily on the Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” during its first half, while the second half of the mash-up is more of a laid-back, anything-goes hodgepodge of 2015’s huge hits from the likes of Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Fall Out Boy and One Direction.
