The Dead Weather‘s new LP Dodge and Burn isn’t out until September 25th, but on Friday, Jack White and Alison Mosshart’s outfit unveiled “Cop and Go,” a menacing new cut from their first album in five years. The track originally premiered September 4th on Tidal, the streaming service co-owned by White, but now “Cop and Go” is accessible for everyone to hear.

Guitar riffs play call-and-response on the dusky, reverb-soaked song as Mosshart sings on the infectious chorus, “Look at me on the level, uh huh / Have we got shit to settle, uh huh / You cop like a cop in a cookie jar / Get what you want / Take it all / Please, would give a little back to me?” The single is also available to purchase through digital retailers, while fans who already pre-ordered Dodge and Burn will receive an instant download of the track.

“Cop and Go” joins previously released Dodge and Burn tracks “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles),” “Buzzkill(er)” and “It’s Just Too Bad.” Additionally, White has promised a series of instrument instructional and discussion videos, which kicked off Thursday with the rocker explaining the drumming technique the band used on their debut single “Hang You From the Heavens.”

On September 14th, the Dead Weather will visit the Late Show With Stephen Colbert for their first official performance in five years; the quartet last performed live in 2010 on Late Show With David Letterman in support of their second album Sea of Cowards.
