Hear Celine Dion’s Delicate New ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Ballad

Canadian singer reunites with composer Alan Menken for “How Does a Moment Last Forever”

Céline Dion recorded another epic movie ballad with “How Does a Moment Last Forever,” set to appear in Disney‘s upcoming live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. The film’s soundtrack arrived March 10th, while the movie opens March 17th.

Dion sings poignantly over a swelling mix of piano, accordion and orchestral strings. While “How Does a Moment Last Forever” never reaches the cinematic peaks of “My Heart Will Go On,” Dion delivers a vocal performance filled with bombast before reaching an understated end.

“How Does a Moment Last Forever” will reportedly play over the end credits of Beauty and the Beast. The song finds Dion reuniting with composer Alan Menken, who wrote the title song for Disney’s beloved 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast, which Dion sang with Peabo Bryson.

The new Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
