Blink-182 debuted “Built This Pool,” a 14-second punk burst off the band’s upcoming LP California, in the form of a looped, 10-hour YouTube video.
“I want to see some naked dudes/ That’s why I built this pool,” sings Mark Hoppus. “Built This Pool” is played roughly 250 times per hour – 2,500 times in total. The stunt may be a nod to a fan video that played Tom DeLonge’s verse in Blink-182’s “I Miss You” on a 10-hour loop, as requested by Nathan for You‘s Nathan Fielder.
Blink-182 generously offered “Built This Pool” as a free download on their official site, where fans can pre-order the band’s California in a variety of different packages. California, the group’s first album with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba stepping in for DeLonge, drops July 1st (the 182nd day of the year).
