Hank Williams Jr. Compares Obama to Hitler

Hank Williams Jr.’s indelicate foray into the political arena today may have cost the singer his ongoing gig with Monday Night Football. Appearing on Fox & Friends, the heir to country music royalty called President Obama’s golf game with House Speaker John Boehner “one of the biggest political mistakes ever. It’s like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.”  (Watch below.)

Fox co-host Brian Kilmeade asked the kickoff man what he meant when he said, “They’re the enemy.”

“Obama! Biden! The Three Stooges!” Williams replied.

“That’s only two,” Steve Doocy pointed out.

ESPN released a statement today declaring itself “extremely disappointed” with Williams’ comments, noting that they will not run his customary opening theme tonight.
