Go Behind the Scenes of Selena Gomez’s ‘Hands to Myself’ Video

“It’s one of those hidden gem songs,” singer says of ‘Revival’ single.

In December, Selena Gomez unveiled her sultry video for “Hands to Myself,” the latest single off her new LP Revival. After a month as an Apple Music exclusive, “Hands to Myself” dropped on Vevo Wednesday accompanied with a three-minute behind-the-scenes look at the video, which stars Gomez as a stalker creeping around her ex’s stunning Los Angeles home.

“It is probably Top Three, maybe Number One favorite on the album because it’s one of those hidden gem songs,” Gomez said of “Hands to Myself.” “It’s very beautiful and special and it’s got this funk to it that really created this whole sound that could knock me into the future of my music. So it’s exciting to see it come to life.”

“Hands to Myself” was helmed by Gomez’s “dear family friend” and Madonna: Truth or Dare director Alek Keshishian. In the making of clip, Gomez explains the video’s reality-bending theme. “I wanted the idea to feel like it was two different versions of being in this fantasy,” Gomez said. “I think everybody can have those moments where they’re dreaming about what their life could be, especially if they’re girls with love, being obsessed with an idea and you can’t control yourself, because that’s what you want no matter what is happening.”
