George Jones Cancels Minnesota Concert

Country icon George Jones canceled a concert this Friday at a Minnesota casino due to health concerns, The Associated Press reports.
The Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, where Jones was set to perform, released a statement saying the 81-year-old had caught a virus and was being treated by doctors.
Jones’ show was actually a rescheduled concert from earlier in the year. The singer was set to perform at the Shooting Star in April, but the show was postponed as Jones needed more time to recover from an upper respiratory infection.
Jones apologized to his fans for the cancellation, and the Shooting Star says there are no plans to reschedule the performance and ticket buyers will receive a refund.
